Mr. Martin Medina
It is an honor to begin my fifth year in the Burton School District and my first year serving students as the SCCA Vice Principal. I started at SCCA teaching Spanish and then taught 7th and 8th grade Dual Immersion. I also taught College and Careers, the first course of the Dual Enrollment College Pathway offered at SCCA.
I was born in Mexico and moved to Wasco, CA in 1999, where I completed my primary education. After graduating from Wasco High School, tiger pride, I attended CSU Bakersfield where I received my Bachelors Degree and my teaching credential. I am currently attending Fresno State, pursuing my Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership.
I am married to an amazing woman, Natalia Medina, who teaches 5th grade at SCA Matthew and is an inspiration to many. We own two schnauzers, Yoko and Meg, whom we consider our kids. On our spare time we like to watch sports, take road-trips and read. I also enjoy landscaping and use it’s as a stress reliever for those long work days.
I am looking forward to a new, challenging year full or surprises and successes. I am excited to see all the great things our teacher will do and the amazing things our students will learn and put into practice daily to become the college and world ready citizens this world needs and deserves. I am proud to be a bear and be part of this awesome family.
