Mrs. Rosa Guerrero
My name is Rosa Guerrero, and I serve as one of the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Vice Principals. This is my 21st year in education and my 8th year with the Burton School District.
I started my education at Fresno State, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and my Multiple subject credential. After teaching in the classroom for 9 years, I decided to continue my education at Fresno Pacific University, where I earned my Master’s Degree in Education with Math and Science emphasis. In 2009 I received my Administrative Credential.
I began my teaching career in 1997 as a first grade bilingual teacher, in Lindsay. In 1998, I had the opportunity to help the District with the implementation of the first Dual Immersion program in Tulare County. I continued working with the Lindsay Unified School District for 13 years doing various positions such as: teaching 1st through 6th grade, instructional coach, reading resource teacher, reading recovery teacher, and Vice Principal. In 2010, I joined the Burton School District as a 5th grade Dual Immersion teacher. I taught at SCA Mathew for 2 and a half years. My next venture led me to teach dual immersion middle school history and spanish language arts at SCCA. This will be my third year as Vice Principal, with the Burton School District.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my wonderful husband, my thirteen year old son Sebastian, my eleven year old daughter Victoria, and my six year old son Aidan. I love reading, traveling, listening to music, and watching my kids play soccer. It is a pleasure to be part of Summit Charter Collegiate Academy and I look forward to a wonderful year!
