Welcome to the Burton School District!Located in Porterville, in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley, we are comprised of six schools and two charter schools: Burton Elementary School (Knd-4th), Oak Grove Elementary School (Knd-4th), Buckley Elementary (a 2010 Distinguished School) (Knd-4th), Jim Maples Academy (5th-6th), Burton Middle School (7th-8th), Burton Community Day School (Knd-8th), Summit Charter Academy (Knd-6th), Summit Charter Collegiate Academy (7th-12th), and Burton Pathways Charter High School (9th-12th), which opened in August, 2010. The Burton School District will offer transportation for all Summit Charter Academy students, including students living outside the district's attendance area. Stops will include, but are not limited to, Lindsay, Plainview, Strathmore, Springville, Pleasantview, Poplar, Terra Bella, and Ducor.
