Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break will be here soon. Our break will be from November 20-26th. We hope you enjoy time with family and friends!

Dia De Los Muertos

Join us for a fun filled family night at Summit High School! The fun begins at 5pm to 8pm. We will have lots of entertainment, food and student ofrendas. FREE admission. Don't miss out on the fun!

No School on November 10th!

Honoring all who served. Join us in honoring our armed services and cheering on our school bands, cadets and Board Trustees who will be participating in the Porterville Veteran's Parade on November 11th on Main Street. We hope to see you there.

Enrollment is open for Summit High School!

We had a great time with our 8th graders on the high school campus! Our enrollment for Summit High School is currently open. Our high school campus will continue to be on our middle school campuses to provide information and enrichment opportunities to experience the various programs available to our students! Food Distribution

Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 2pm we will be distributing boxes of food at our Burkey Center located at 2440 W Henderson Ave. Just a reminder that due to the amount of food given out at our distribution and weight of the items we ask that if possible families bring a cart or wagon to carry their boxes back to their vehicles. We have limited amount of wagons to assist families which can at times hold up the wait time in the line. Please be prepared to carry those items to your vehicle. Thank you

Annual Burton's Got Talent

We are excited for our Annual Burton's Got Talent showcase on November 14th. All students and staff are invited to attend.

Our Folklorico program will be holding a Winter program on December 2nd at the Porterville Memorial Auditorium. Admission is FREE. Join us as each of the grade levels perform. See you there!

Food Drive for BSD Families

Our GATE families and our BMS Serves group will be hosting a Food Drive together. The donated items will go towards helping BSD families in need. All donations can be brought to the Burkey Center on November 12th. Thank you for your support.

Flu season is upon us

As we head into the fall season, this is a quick reminder to be mindful of the beginning of cold and flu season. Viruses/Common Colds spread easily among children in schools. By keeping our children flu-free, we benefit the community as a whole.
