Making School Meals Memorable

 

Thank you for partnering with Burton School District Nutrition Services to create fun, engaging, and memorable meal experiences for our students!

Nutrition Services is excited to support special events that bring students together and make school meals something to look forward to.

A fully reimbursable meal may be provided to students at no cost to your site when the event meets the meal pattern requirements established by the California Department of Education (CDE) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

While all special meal events must meet CDE and USDA program requirements, our goal is to work with your site to make school meals cool, creative, engaging, and enjoyable for our students.

Please complete this form to request a Special Meal Event at your school site.

Important Information

• Submit requests at least two (2) months before the requested event date.
• Events are subject to menu and product availability, staffing, scheduling, and program compliance requirements.
• Submission of this form does not guarantee approval of the requested menu or event.
• After your request is reviewed, Nutrition Services will contact you to coordinate and finalize event details.

Special Events

Nutrition Services offers a variety of special meal experiences designed to make school meals fun, engaging, and memorable for students.

Principal's Pizza Party

Celebrate student achievement, attendance, incentives, or another special occasion with a pizza party.

Sunrise Superstar Breakfast

A special Breakfast in the Classroom experience perfect for student recognition, attendance celebrations, testing days, or other schoolwide activities.

Grill & Chill Celebration

A student BBQ designed for field days, end-of-year celebrations, student incentives, and other special occasions.

ELOP: Build Your Own Pizza

An interactive ELOP meal experience where students have an opportunity to build their own pizza.

Donuts with Dad

A family-engagement breakfast for students and dads or special guests.

Muffins with Mom

A special family-engagement breakfast for students and moms or special guests.

Pastries with a Parent

An inclusive breakfast experience for students and a parent, guardian, or special adult.
